Mixed Traction Event?The line might be planning to pull off a mixed traction gala, with steam and diesel locomotives running! With the lines 08 out and a class 20 and class 25 from BANES County Railway, that should make up a diesel fleet, with maybe little 'rocket' making a return to the diesel fleet! Also, there will be some visiting traction engines and war planes out on the line! With One or Two visiting steam locomotives along with the lines home fleet out, this will be a day not to miss!
Frankton Grange returns!Probably the lines most famous locomotive has returned to the line. After a long overhaul over 2011 she returned officially In December 11, and has been running through the beginning of 2012. Come on down to the Bristol & West Country Railway today, to come and see her in all her glory, running again!

| New Railway Center @ Bristol!The railway will be officially opening its new railway center over the weekend of 14-15 January. The railway center is easily accessible from our Bristol station and has static display locomotives, a shed and works for other locomotives and sidings so you can inspect our brilliant array of rolling stock, from Br mk 1's to old gwr wagons!
Welcome 2012!As you all now know, it is 2012, which means more steam action for another year! This is beginning with the Spring Steam gala in mid March, where the line will have all its loco's out, either running or on display at the Sheds in Bristol! Also there will be some visitor(s) from BANES County Railway, these locomotives have not yet been announced but it is hoped they will be as good as last year!
latest updates on the line!the end of the line is apearing as most of the ballasting and track work has been done,road has been laid and new booking hall has been built.the line will be doing an open train hauled by our own 'frankton grange' once been fixed.
